Competition Rules

Tracks

There are several great places around southern Arizona to enjoy your car's handling and speed. Seven of these are shown on the map. Click on the map to find out more about the facilities, and read a short description below. Also check our calendar for track schedule information.

Going counter-clockwise around the map:

Arizona Motorsports Park: A brand new track in Phoenix, near Luke Air Force Base. Unfortunately the track is shut down and may not reopen due to issues with neighboring property owners.
PIR (Phoenix International Raceway): Lots of big races take place here. Az Region PCA, NASA, and Pro AutoSports also use it.
Firebird International Raceway: Three tracks in one location. The Firebird East track is popular with the Az Region PCA, and very safe.
Central Arizona College: We are using this track frequently, since it's a smooth surface and not far from southern Arizona.
Pinal Air Park: This is the track our club uses the most because it's closest to southern Arizona.

SIR (Southwestern International Raceway): We sometimes use the parking lot for autocrosses. The SCCA in Tucson used the lot every month for their autocrosses, and sometimes use Pinal Air Park.
Sierra Vista Car Club: This club is associated with SCCA and holds monthly autocrosses at Fort Huachuca and other locations around Sierra Vista.
Arroyo Seco Motorplex: A great track in New Mexico, about 230 miles from Tucson. Here is a QuickTime movie of 3 laps in the clockwise direction at Arroyo Seco (24.6 MB).

Car Clubs

There are many car clubs around southern Arizona, some of which use the tracks. Below are links to some of them.

PCA regions [map]	Arizona Region PCA: Our PCA neighbors to the north. They schedule many events at the tracks around Phoenix, and hold regular autocrosses at parking lots. [Schedule] Roadrunner Region: Our PCA neighbors to the northeast. These folks sometimes schedule events at Arroyo Seco that we participate in. [Schedule] Carrera Region: Our PCA neighbors to the east. These folks also schedule events at Arroyo Seco that we participate in.
Racing Clubs	Arizona Sports Racing Association - Club Racing Arizona (ASRA): Racing around Arizona. [Schedule] NASA (National Auto Sport Association): NASA runs education events and races at the Phoenix tracks. [Schedule] Professional Auto Sports: Racing and driver's education in Phoenix and at Arroyo Seco. [Schedule] Spec-944: 944's only, all to the same specs, competing driver-to-driver on the racetrack. VARA (Vintage Auto Racing Association): The Old Cars Racing Club. Touring Car Club: Racing mostly on the California tracks, but also in Las Vegas. [Schedule]
SCCA	Arizona Border Region SCCA: SCCA Tucson. They hold monthly autocrosses in the SIR parking lot and at Pinal Air Park. [Schedule] Arizona Region SCCA: SCCA Phoenix. Sierra Vista Car Club: This club is associated with SCCA and holds monthly autocrosses in the Sierra Vista area.
Other	356 Outlaws: An Arizona 356 club. POC: Porsche Owners Club. Tucson Corvette Club. Santa Cruz Valley Car Nuts: They host the annual Tubac Car Show in January. BMW CCA Sonora Chapter: The local BMW club.
